F.R.I.E.N.D.S.-CHRISTMAS-PARTY-2015-2_d400
Ann Foyt
President

Hi there, my name is Ann Foyt, I'm originally from Beaufort, S.C., I moved to Tampa, FL in 1989 where I met and married Paul Foyt, who manages A.R.Savage & Son's. We have two awesome teenage boys, Zachary and Ethan. I have been a nurse for the last 20yrs, I spent most of my career in Cardiology and Acute Care. The last 5yrs I have worked for Humana, as a R.N. Health Care Manager.

Two years ago,I was given the opportunity to run F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Down Syndrome Tampa as President. Our older son Zachary was born with Down Syndrome. The support group has grown from a membership of 132, to over 500 families in the Tampa Bay area. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. now supplies six bay area hospitals with New & Expectant Parent Packets and they also have parent liaisons who are on request to go and talk with new & expectant parents. This October 1st, Tampa will have its first F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Buddy Walk, held at the Raymond James Stadium. If I could, I'd quit my job and devote all my time to F.R.I.E.N.D.S., but unfortunately I haven't won the lottery just yet.

Terry Larson-Messmer, D.P.T.
Secretary
My name is Terry Larson-Messmer and I have lived in Pasco county for over 30 years.  I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in Pelvic Floor Disorders.  Currently, I am the Director of Clinical Education for South University’s Physical Therapy Assisting Program.
My husband Shane and I have 4 amazing children.  One of them just happens to have Down Syndrome.  When she was born I searched and searched for a community to learn from and share with.  To my despair, there was nothing!  The closest I could find was Orlando.  I am so very excited to be involved with such a great team here at F.R.I.E.N.D.S.   My long term goal is to bring events to Pasco so that we can develop a community.
